The WP LEADS (Learn - Engage - Advocate - Develop - Serve) Civic Engagement and Philanthropy Badge is designed to support William Paterson University’s Civic Engagement initiative to encourage every student to become more civically minded and engaged through participation in their civic engagement core curricular courses and extra-curricular experiences. By participating in civic engagement and philanthropic activities, students earn "credits" which could be applied towards the badge requirement. Completion of this badge fulfills a requirement for induction into the WP LEADS Honor Society. Administered by Campus Activities, Service and Leadership.

    Completed the **Civic Engagement and Philanthropy** path. Leadership and Service are key components of learning for students who desire to effect positive change in the world around them.  We are choosing to challenge those students who take part in highly educational experiences at William Paterson to not only improve their leadership skills through theory and practice but also to step outside the campus community by learning about themselves and the world around them by becoming civically engaged through activism, philanthropy and service learning.  Those students who participate in the following events and reflect will not only learn about themselves and the world but will also be awarded the WP Civic Engagement and Philanthropy Badge.
